Why? Has someone dared you to? Are you trying to look cool? Are you being pressured, socially or by peers, to drink? How many have you had tonight? And what will happen if you drink that last beer.
Too many teens are being pressured to drink, leading them to dangerous circumstances. Some get injured, injure others, or worse, kill themselves and/or others.
New Zealand's culture around teens drinking is dangerous, more and more teens are drinking way more then is healthy, even for an adult.
This is causing more accidents and deaths, on the road or simply leading to a pissed out brain getting into the water or falling off a balcony.
So before you pick up that drink, whether it be your first drink of the night or your third, think about what might happen, and why you’re drinking that drink.
Don’t let people pressure you into drinking, your life is worth more then a night on the piss and ending up hanging out of your car door.

The drinking culture is pretty bad in New Zealand, with the rates of teen drinking being some of the worst in the world. To avoid this bad drinking culture from spreading to our children we should make drinking less public, such as in shows we should go to areas out of sight from children to not let them get the idea that drinking is a good thing. In the end, it is our decisions that form the world that our children will lead.
